WTH am I talking about “these things”?
- Yes Asian suck at driving…ease up… we got insurance – not like the other peeps… BUT NO I’m not talking about THIS.
- Yes Asians are supposed to be good in science but NO I’m not talking about this EITHER.
The Answer? Well it’s math.
Math!?!? WTF Does MATH have to do with Social Media Marketing?
Simple… ANY business is an arithmetic business.
You need to know what your cost and expense. Aka your balance sheet (DUH – not rocket science).
Know what energy out put or $$ that it’s going to take to produce income. Also remember that to increase bottom line… you ALWAYS have two ways. Either increase REVENUE or decrease expense (DUH – not rocket science again). So when it comes to real estate investing or any business for that matter. You need to look at exposure – which is marketing right?
I’m doing this blog because people constantly ask me what are my social media marketing strategy for my real estate business.
PROBLEM… People get Social Media twisted. Here’s what I mean..
Remember…
SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING IS TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS AND NETWORK.
Don’t do a hard sell… or a creepy stalker like stuff.
Think of it like going to a killer party and then you start talking about what you do…
LOOK at the picture below… If you went to a party and ran into this person what would you tell them?

What is secret marketing strategy? I don’t think it’s a secret at all… It’s all about building connections and being in front of a client. Making sure people know who the heck you are.
Once of the earliest books in sales by Tom Hopkins “Low Profile – Selling – Act Like a Lamb – Sell Like a Lion” talks about the importance of this “rapport”.
When I was doing insurance and financial services before getting into the real estate biz my clients got a Happy Birthday call from me every time.
I wanted to make sure they knew who “Jeffrey Mutha F’en Coga” was. (arrogant I know). So I put the contact info and date of birth in my outlook and synced it with my blackberry (RIM.. dam that’s old lol). I got alot of thank you and compliments and I know I did a crap load of business just because of this 1 thing. Yeah… I delivered gifts and gift cards etc but everyone thought wow this Jeff guys always remembers my bday.
Fast forward to NOW in the Social Media World.
You can truly be LAZY. (Yes I’m THAT lazy)
Here’s is a prime example.
Yes this is the video I sent my virtual assistant.
I get texts back saying thank you. I get likes back. etc.
This stuff works. Now… I pay my guy min wage to do this every single day.
It works. Make sure you outsource this to someone on your team (kind of like when you send Christmas cards and your assistant writes it – you just sign it ;P )
If you don’t have someone to outsource it to… do it yourself. It WORKS.
Or if you’re truly lazy like me. Get a VA and have them watch MY DAM VIDEO. LOL
